The rose rebuke
Answer disrespect with a boundary that remains graceful but refuses to bend.
What you’ll need
- A dried rose petal
- A square of paper
- A red pencil
- A small box
The ritual
- Write the disrespectful behavior around the edge of the paper.
- Place the rose petal in the center and draw a firm circle around it.
- Fold every written edge inward until only the protected center remains visible.
- Place the fold in the box and close it with the words, “You come no closer.”
