- A tarot, oracle, or playing-card deck
- A notebook
The ritual
- Shuffle the deck while asking what quality deserves your attention today.
- Cut the deck once and draw the top card, placing it face up before you.
- Describe only what you see before consulting any guide: figures, direction, color, number, and mood.
- Choose one detail as the day’s sign and write one way you can respond to it.
