The shuttered eye
Close the sight of envy over work that still needs privacy to grow.
What you’ll need
- A card
- Black and white pencils
- A folded cloth
The ritual
- Draw an open eye on the card with the white pencil.
- Shade a dark shutter over it from left to right.
- Wrap the card in the cloth and say, “What grows here is not yours to watch.”
- Store it beside the private work and reveal the work only when you choose.
