The shadow divination
Turn an ordinary object through light and read the changing silhouettes on the wall.
What you’ll need
- A small household object
- A lamp or flashlight
- A blank wall
- Paper and pencil
The ritual
- Darken the room enough to make a clear shadow, keeping the floor and walking path unobstructed.
- Place the object between the light and wall and state the matter you want to see differently.
- Turn the object slowly through three positions and pause when a silhouette suggests a recognizable form.
- Sketch each form and give it a title. Read the three titles as beginning, turning point, and possible outcome.
