The locked seed
Keep a harmful idea from taking root, spreading, or producing another version of itself.
What you’ll need
- One dried bean
- A tiny envelope
- A small lidded tin
The ritual
- Name the harmful idea while holding the bean.
- Place it in the envelope and write “No soil” across the flap.
- Seal the envelope inside the tin and close the lid.
- Keep it dry and closed until the idea has lost support, then discard the bean without planting it.
