The iron nail refusal
Fix a refusal in place when persuasion, guilt, or pressure will not stop.
What you’ll need
- A clean blunt iron nail
- A cork
- A strip of paper
The ritual
- Write the demand you refuse on the paper.
- Wrap the paper around the cork and press the blunt nail into the cork until it holds.
- Set the piece upright and say your refusal once in direct language.
- Keep it in a drawer until the pressure ends, then remove the nail and recycle the paper.
