What you’ll need
- A naturally fallen dry leaf
- Paper and pencil
- A compost bowl
The ritual
- Write the rivalry or feud on the paper and set the leaf over the words.
- Trace the leaf’s edge, noticing every break and dry vein.
- Crumble the leaf into the compost bowl while saying, “What is finished does not return.”
- Cross out the written rivalry and compost the leaf outdoors.
