The bell of consequence
Call consequence to a pattern that has been allowed to pass without answer.
What you’ll need
- A small hand bell
- A dark cloth
- A piece of paper
The ritual
- Write the conduct at the top of the paper and one fair consequence beneath it.
- Ring the bell once for what happened, once for what was hidden, and once for what follows.
- Wrap the bell in the dark cloth and place it over the folded paper.
- Carry out the written consequence calmly, then uncover the bell and put it away.
